What is Songimate?

Songimate is an online e-commerce platform that provides custom song/animation gifts for any occasion. 

Once I place my order how long will it take to receive my files? 

Our standard turnaround time is 7 days for a song (without animation). However, if you want animation with your song it will take 14 days to complete the order. 

Do I have to choose animation? 

No, you do not have to choose animation. We offer animation as a service and we are the first to offer this type of service. We know it's different and unique, but we think it's a very special thing to offer. Give it a try, or not, it's up to you. Also, see "how it works" for more info on the song + animation process. 

How long does it take to complete the online order process? 

Your results may vary. A lot of it depends on how involved with details you want to be. We see people finishing in 10 minutes and some well over 30. There's no rush and you can always come back. We will store your responses for 15 days, after that they will be erased. If you're not able to complete in one sitting we suggest coming back the following day while it's still in your memory :). 

What is your return policy? 

We offer unique artistic intangible products that, once created, is yours. Simply put, we do not offer returns. That said, we will do our very best to make sure that you're incredibly happy with your song and or animation during the process. That's why we ask all the questions! We are in business to give you a one of a kind experience. You can always reach out to us if you need to, and we mean that.

Can I pick the artist I want from your website? 

Absolutely! Feel free to browse our artists and pick which one you want during your "Start my song" process. Remember, you will need to return to the questions after browsing our artists and pick the artist from the drop down menu. You can also return to your place in the form by clicking "start my song." 

Can I use a different artist that's not on your website? 

We vet all artists before they are accepted into our program. Other services offer hundreds and thousands of artists to choose from. We believe that does a dis-service to the customer. We strive to keep a smaller artist roster in order to keep the talent level exceedingly high. Therefor, we cannot allow outside artists into our program.   

Can I write my own lyrics? 

We welcome that. If it calls for it, the artist will add their lyrics to yours depending on your level of lyric writing and how much you provide us. We are the pros and we want to provide you with a professional level Song from start to finish, that's why you came to us in the first place, right? 

Can I make changes to my song after I receive it? 

If after receiving your order you notice that the artist made a mistake with the lyrics we will ask the artist to correct. However, if you want to add additional Lyric lines to the song you can, but that will cost additional $$. If the Songwriter has to go back into the project and spend considerable time to make changes there will be a fee for that. See "Store" for add on options etc. We do not offer different instrument requests as each songwriter has their own musical abilities and workflow. 

How will I receive my order? 

Upon completion of your order we will provide a link to download and or stream your files in all their glory. It will be your link, share it wisely :). 

Why does animation cost so much? 

Simple answer: because it takes so long. We offer the best prices, quality and turnaround times in animation, period. Go ahead and look around online. It's considerably more expensive if you were to try and get custom animation elsewhere. We are the first platform to offer this service with custom songs and therefor we wanted to offer it at a price (almost) everyone can afford. 

How come this animation doesn't look like Pixar? 

Because that would cost millions of dollars and thousands of hours. Custom Animation is extremely expensive and time consuming. Today, a Pixar movie takes years and hundreds of millions of dollars to create. We're not trying to be Pixar, we're providing a premium custom animated video with your custom song. 

Do you offer songs + animation for businesses? 

Yes, we can provide this. There is an additional price of $200.00 for a commercial license. Businesses often gift songs for new hires, teams that have reached a new achievement and or going away gifts. There are many occasions that custom songs + animation can be offered. Feel free to reach out with any questions. 

Do the tips really go to the Songwriter? 

Yes, they really do. We do not take any fees other than the processing fees we get charged. 

How Do Gift Cards Work? 

Gift cards are great if you'd like to purchase a song for someone but don't know who it's for or what to write about. To redeem the GC simply instruct the person to come to this site and enter the last 4 digits of the GC in the "Do you have a promo code or gift card" question of the "Start Your Song" process.
